St Jude Reconstruction
In a recent interview on the popular talk show News Maker Live, host Timothy Poleon delved into the prolonged issue of the St Jude Hospital reconstruction project with the CEO of Rayneau Group of Companies Ltd., Mr. Rayneau Gajadhar. The conversation shed light on the challenges, delays, and hopes surrounding this critical healthcare infrastructure.

Host Poleon initiated the discussion by expressing concern over the protracted timeline of the St Jude Reconstruction Project, highlighting that many individuals were not even born when the fire initially struck in 2009. He questioned the accountability of those involved in the lengthy reconstruction process.

Gajadhar, who has been actively engaged in the project, emphasized that it is not just one person but many who should be held accountable for the delays. He acknowledged the bureaucratic nature of government processes, stating, "But at the end of the day, that's what governments do."

When asked about his involvement in the project, Gajadhar revealed that he participated in the cleanup about a year ago and submitted proposals for a phase of the construction. He lamented the slow administrative pace, noting that extensive scrutiny and documentation caused significant delays in project progression.

Regarding the completion timeline, Gajadhar provided a glimpse of optimism. He mentioned that his section, involving four buildings, is set to be 100% completed between July and August. However, he highlighted the need for collaboration with a Saudi firm for the remaining building under the Saudi Fund section.

Gajadhar expressed confidence in the success of the bid, emphasizing his commitment to delivering results promptly. He assured the host and the public that, if selected, the project would be finished swiftly, bringing relief to the community in need of adequate healthcare facilities.

Responding to questions about the incorporation of the new hospital, Gajadhar clarified that two parts, specifically the physiotherapy and dialysis sections, would be initialized in the new building. He stressed the importance of focusing on getting St Jude up and running, prioritizing the seamless transition of patients, doctors, and nurses from temporary facilities to the new facility.

The interview with Rayneau Gajadhar offered a glimmer of hope for the long-awaited St Jude Hospital reconstruction. His commitment to efficiency and dedication to delivering results bring optimism that the healthcare facility will soon be operational, providing essential services to the community.
