Rayneau’s CIE Praised for Quality Workmanship

Hon Phillip J Pierre
The Minister for Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport said, “It is evident that the bridge was built with impeccable workmanship and assets.”
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Bois D’Orange Bridge on Tuesday December 5, 2014, Minister of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport, Hon Phillip J Pierre remarked, “The Bois D’Orange is a world class structure built and in keeping with the most modern technical standards and material inputs. The bridge has stood up to the intense scrutiny of vastly technical minds in St. Lucia, The World Bank and the United States Army Corps of Engineers.”
“The execution of such a complex project within budget is deserving of praise. I congratulate the local contractor and his staff, a St. Lucian staff, and the Consultant led by Gilbert Fontenard on a job well done.” Hon Pierre said.
“While there were doubts, even at the level of the World Bank, on whether St Lucian contractors were able to execute such a project, particularly with a pile foundation, St Lucians have proven they can work and form the strategic alliances and execute projects within cost and within budget at the highest national standards.”
View of Bridge
The Prime Minister, The Rt Hon. Dr Kenny D Anthony is his address also gave credence to the quality of work achieved in the construction of the bridge, “We have too many doubting Thomases in this country. You must have the confidence in the ability of our people to do things. This bridge belongs to us. It was designed by St Lucians, constructed a St Lucian firm, and it matches the quality of a bridge anywhere in the world today.” He said. “You must have confidence in your people…….they can be just as good as anybody anywhere in the world…….and that’s really what we’re all about.”
Representing Rayneau Construction & Industrial Equipment Ltd at the ceremony were Mr
Mr Anselm Clauzel with contingent
Anselm Clauzel, Business Development Executive,
Pawan Joshie, Project Manager, the Managing Director’s children Savvy Plummer, Mokesh and Paresh Gajadhar. Mr Clauzel was very proud and satisfied with the Company’s achievements and he reiterated that it’s a policy CIE to deliver high quality work within budget, and most of all, on time.
In the last three years, Hon Phillip J Pierre said his Government has built sixteen bridges. Extensive work has been done on the Barre de L’Isle, with reconstruction nearing completion in coming weeks. In addition,  he said, over a dozen roads have been completed, paved and rehabilitated across the length and breadth of the island.

The Minister reiterated that the completion of this bridge is an accomplishment which St Lucians are to celebrate with pride and dignity.

Rayneau's Christmas Heart Overflows!

George Matthew Adams in the “The Christmas Heart” said, “Let us remember that the Christmas heart is a giving heart, a wide open heart that thinks of others first. The birth of the baby Jesus stands as the most significant event in all history, because it has meant the pouring into a sick world the healing medicine of love which has transformed all manner of hearts for almost two thousand years... Underneath all the bulging bundles is this beating Christmas heart.”
A view of the newly paved side walk
Rayneau has a big heart for giving which is unmatched by any in his field. His recent contributions to the Calypso Arena, both senior and junior, the Gen-X program, the renovation of the Police Immigration Department, and contributions to the St Lucia Youth Business Trust, are worthy to be noted to bring out this big heart this young entrepreneur possesses.
One will recall back in February 2012, construction work on a piece of land next to the Faith Baptist Church in Corinth generated heated discourse amongst some residents who had taken the company responsible for the works, Construction and Industrial Equipment Limited (CIE) to task. Today, RCIP stands on this piece of land and through its parent company is giving back to the residents.
A resident stay clear of traffic
Now, Rayneau is giving back to the community. The Corinth road is well known for its busy traffic and limited sidewalk space for pedestrians. A sidewalk of modern finesse has been constructed on a section of that road where is has been deemed very unsafe for the pedestrians. The sidewalk varies in width at various points due to the contour of the road and is about 150m in length. Though one may argue that this classy sidewalk  constructed with pavers of different colours  and manufactured by CIE, maybe for the staff of CIE and RCIP, they must not forget the dangers of not having a sidewalk in this crucial section of the road for the residents' usage.
Another section of the paved sidewalk
Speaking with a resident who seems very impressed with the sidewalk and its purpose for bringing a measure of safety to the community, had this to say. “I think it is a great idea, not only for the workers of RCIP who have to go to CIE daily, but also for the general public. Persons are walking here daily…….they are walking on the road……but now you are not only taking care of the security of your staff, but also the public in general. And what he {Rayneau} has done, as a good corporate citizen, is that he is giving back to the community in which he is doing business.”
There can be no doubt that this project is being cherished by all the citizens of Corinth.

Pavers used on sidewalk
Finally residents who are impressed with the design and colour of the pavers can contact any sales agent at our store for more info. Our experts will be more than happy to assist in the construction of your project if you happen to need any assistance. Give your patio, walk-way or yard a face lift.

MERRY XMAS FROM RCIP!

Give a Gift For Christmas From Rayneau

Gift giving is a two-way street, in that giver and receiver experience the shared

enjoyment of the exchange.

For me, gift giving supplies me with an armload of self-gratification. Gift giving is just

one of the many ways you can show a person how you feel. Not just love but gratitude

and appreciation as well. I use it as a way to let someone know that I am thinking about

them. The smallest, out of the ordinary, unexpected gift, if presented with a smile, will

 yield the biggest reactions
Gift giving is both a benefit and a help.

To give is the same with sharing. And to

share is a relaxing act. Not only does it

make a bond grow deeper, but it also

gives a person the feeling of being kind

and happy. Because for most people, to

see someone happy

multiplies their joy. The joy brings the feeling of goodness to the giver.

Giving gifts is always a problem. If you love someone, you want to make sure you give
them something they really want. Ideally, you want to see that look of joyous surprise
when they open the gift and even before they say a word, you know it was perfect.
But that doesn't always work.
It’s sad, really. You work so hard to find just the right gift, and then it doesn't fit …or it isn't the right colour … or it was broken in the box … or they already had one … or the design doesn't match what they already have … worst of all, it wasn't what they really wanted.

GIFT WRAPPED
That’s the worst—to give someone a gift they don’t really want. Nothing makes you feel
worse. They unwrap the gift and then there is a short pause—just a microsecond—but in that moment you already know the truth. “Why, it’s beautiful,” they say. But you can see the look in their eyes. You put on a brave front and try again. “Do you really like it?” “Like it? I love it.” But you aren't fooled. It’s not what they  wanted. And drop by drop all the joy drains out of Christmas.
Then it came to my mind this week as I thought about the question—if I were going to give someone a gift for Christmas, what would I give him/her that he/she would appreciate? The holidays are upon us, which means it's time to get cracking and find some great sentimental gifts for our valued friends and acquaintances.
You know that well decorated food hamper? Or that old aged bottle of whiskey? If you
want to be the one who avoid sending those cliched goodies, look no further. We at
Rayneau have some better ideas for you this year.

Visit our next post to see an array of gifts which our gift experts have specially selected
from our various departments for you to choose from.

NO BANKS,NO CREDIT UNIONS,NO LOANS SHARK, 0% FINANCING!

With the upcoming season, the government has put together a stimulus package where contractors are offered small contracts. The sum of $2.5m has been allotted for works to be carried out throughout the length and breadth of St Lucia. The works will include drainage, road works, pot holing, basic bridge maintenance, re-digging of drains, reducing verges and the like
Recently a contractor visited a lending institution to get financing for a project. The contractor presented his contract papers to satisfy the institution that he indeed had the contract. He was asked for collateral; he had to be going up and down to the Ministry and Treasury to get his assignment papers endorsed. On top of all this, he was required to pay 10-13% interest. Going through all this delayed the commencement of his project by one
week. A real hassle!
Rayneau Construction & Industrial Products makes it hassle free for you to access the cash that you need  to manage your project.
You will need to visit the store at Corinth in Gros Islet with your project documentation in hand and a valid picture ID to discuss your unique requirements.
Once all conditions are met and the documentation process is completed, the approval follows in a mere hour. No long lines or complicated requirements.
With no interest applied you can be assured that your costs are efficiently managed and the money is spent where it matters most.
Cash Advances associated with the project will allow you to pay your employee wages or meet that last minute expenses with ease.
RCIP is happy to assist its fellow contractors in keeping their projects on time and on track.
If you are a contractor who needs a cash advance to complete his project, tools to perform the job professionally, or products to get it done, then come into our mega store at Rayneau Construction & Industrial Products. We are a One-Stop Shop that provides  you with material from start to finish.
With over 200 pieces of Heavy equipment available, we can also assist you with the projects that  may not be previously within your reach.

We are committed to providing an array of paints to our customers and with Harris Paints coming on board we are convinced that we are a cut above the rest

It has been recognized as a supplier of high quality paints and coatings as well as a leader in product innovation. The store revolves around this motto: “AT RAYNEAU, WE’VE GOT IT”
The vision behind this growing brand is a young, humble and energetic man who believes that encouragement, inspiration and commitment are the ingredients for success. Rayneau Gajadhar’s success story is one built on strong values of discipline, attitude and application inculcated in him by his father.
Ray, as he is affectionately called by his workers, has had his share of frustrations after leaving the St Mary’s College, where he got passes in seven subjects. He speaks to sending numerous application letters, only to be turned down. Not being one to sit and wait, he decided to try things on his own. He sold ice-cream from a makeshift transport  he became a mechanic, sold  TV’s and VCR’s , recorded video tapes, tried his hand as a furniture salesman, a worker at a garment factory , a car rental company, a production manager and the list goes on.
Ray confesses that he always has a flair for construction. When the opportunity arose, he purchased two small construction equipment and rented them out to contractors. He speaks to getting many contracts from Michael Chastanet, but his real big break came from Cable and Wireless as they were known at the time.
..
Rayneau Gajadhar on work site
He is now the CEO of Rayneau Construction &Industrial Equipment Ltd and R G Quarry Ltd which were established in 1995 and 1999 respectively.  Both companies have grown rapidly over the past 15 or so years and they are now recognized as the largest locally-owned company in St Lucia. These companies combined, have over 100 pieces of equipment, employ a work force of approximately 400 full time and about 600 part time workers, and provide a supply of quality raw materials.
Ray attributes his success to having “…… the ability to identify opportunity and execute a plan of delivering the projects to a standard and quality, and more importantly, within the budget and on time.”   “ He continues, “Everything I do I always want to make sure that many other people benefit from it……. so in other words any business I go into, I try to do it providing a service which is better than what is there."
"Best Local Nation-building Calypso"
In spite of his busy schedule Rayneau Gajadhar is also involved in public life. For three consecutive years   he has sponsored a nationwide competition for the “Best Local Nation-building Calypso.” But on Thursday June 27, 2013, he added a second prize of $32,500.00 to the competition for any local calypsonian for just one song. The competition was launched in 2011.
Rayneau, in his continuous bid to improve the art form, also provided sponsorship in 2013 for the first ever Rayneau Calypso Train.  This was an ex-tempo competition involving about 22 schools across the island.
A firm advocate in building on the entrepreneurial spirit that he has exemplified, in October 2011, presented a cheque in the amount of EC$20,000.00 to the St. Lucia Youth Business Trust to support youth entrepreneurship in St. Lucia.
Renovated by CIE
In September 2014, on behalf of his parent company, Construction & Industrial Products, he handed the keys to the Royal St Lucia Police Force  after his company renovated the old immigration department at the police Headquarters. This newly renovated building now houses the Castries Central Police Station from Jeremy Street which was damaged by an earthquake.
In addition to this he actively contributes to ongoing national building as the chairman of the National Competiveness and Productivity Council (NCDC) which comprises of members from the private sector, public sector, trade unions and civil society.
Ray is passionate about sharing his story with young people and motivating them to take control of their own lives, become they own entrepreneurs and seek personal success despite their circumstances.

Mr. Gajadhar receiving award
His company won the 2011 "Best Small to Middle Business Award." The winning trophy was given to the company as part of the Caribbean Business Awards. The initiative recognizes and rewards business excellence and best practices in companies across the region.
Poised for continued and great success, Rayneau Gajadhar seeks to empower the working class of St Lucia as he concludes in an interview, that the “The future of this country in the years to come depends on a growing and successful private sector of small and medium size businesses, delivering quality products and services, and new technologies.”
We look forward to seeing his brand perpetuated across the nation, and in being a partner with him in his journey to creating opportunities, and building the future for all St Lucians.
