HAPPY "WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY" - CELEBRATING OUR EDUCATORS

This year marks the 28th anniversary of World Teachers’ Day, with celebrations taking place across the globe. In the past two years, we have all understood the value of teachers even more. They have been at the forefront to ensure continued education for ten-thousands of children across the region. Thus, they definitely deserve a special day dedicated to them.

The theme this year is – The Transformation of Education Begins with Teachers. It is observed all over the world over since 1994 after the UNESCO Recommendation concerning Teachers.

Also known as International Teachers Day, World Teachers Day is held yearly on October 5. Since its set up in 1994, the day celebrates the marking of the “teaching in Freedom” in 1996. It is observed all over the world over since 1994 after the UNESCO

Teachers play a pertinent role in education. And they exert a significant influence on their students, especially in the formative years. Education is not limited to just course work. Thus, teachers have a bigger responsibility of shaping students as individuals, and in ensuring that they grow holistically. A good teacher can motivate students to stay positive, learn good values, and contribute to a wholesome future for themselves, their families, and their country.

At Rayneau we are fully aware that being a teacher can be a difficult but rewarding job. We also firmly believe that World Teachers’ Day 2022 is a wonderful opportunity to honour the hard work and dedication of all teachers of this country and by extension the region and the world. This is an inspiring profession that leaves a lasting impact on every child’s life, no matter how big or small it may seem.

One of the best (and easiest ways) to celebrate World Teachers’ Day we believe, is to show your teachers just how important and special they are to you. As we all know, teachers play a vital role in shaping the minds of young people. They help us to learn, grow and develop into the people we are today. Without teachers, our world would be a very different place.

So let’s take this opportunity to show our appreciation for all that teachers do. If you know a teacher, why not thank them for their efforts? A simple ‘thank you’ can go a long way! Alternatively, you could make a donation to a charity that supports education or buy some supplies for your child’s school. Let’s make this World Teachers Day one to remember!
