It’s easy to forget the events that that took place leading to our Independence – the political tensions, the demonstrations,the platforms rhetoric, just to name a few. But on 22 February 1979, Saint Lucia finally became independent, as a constitutional monarchy and member of the Commonwealth. 

So by all means, join in your district’s celebrations, host a barbecue at home, have a cool drink, head to the beach, light off some fireworks. We at RG Group of Companies Ltd will be right there with you. But take a minute or two to reflect on why we celebrate as well.
