MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM RAYNEAU - THEMES OF CHRISTMAS WE SHOULD GRANT FREELY -

It's finally here. Today is Christmas Day! Its a time of giving to others. A Merry Christmas from all of us at Rayneau Group of Companies Ltd.

It is better to give than receive. We hear it all the time - especially this time of year. But sometimes I wonder if we really believe it.

We say the phrase as if the generalization is a forgone conclusion. We print it on bumper stickers and billboards. We teach it to our children. And we mutter it under our breath when circumstances don’t go as expected.

 Seasons' Greetings from Rayneau.mp4

But in reality, the axiom is difficult to live out.

We live in a world that seeks personal gain, even encourages it. And as a result, we want to make sure the things we receive are equal to the gifts that we give especially during Christmas.

Christmas is a celebration of love and joy and peace. These are the greatest gifts we can ever give. But they are often the most difficult—especially if we have not received them from others.

We dig in our heels. We decide we will offer forgiveness, but only if they make the first phone call. We will show love, but only after they sacrifice something. And we may respond in goodness, but only after they start showing some kindness to us first.

Suddenly, we fall into the same foolish trap believing it is better to receive than give.

But the themes of Christmas should not be kept to ourselves. They can only be experienced when given away.

Love Christmas is a season of love—a celebration of sacrificing what we have to show appreciation to those who mean the most. And while expressing love to another may be the most beautiful thing we can ever do, it can also be one of the most difficult—especially when those who should love us the most withhold it. Love anyway. True love is not self-seeking. It keeps no record of wrongs. And demands nothing in return.

Joy. This world never allows for perfect circumstances. And those who wait to find joy in them never will. It is unwise to base our happiness fully on the actions of others. But that doesn’t mean we can’t bring a little joy into the life of another by the things that we do and the words that we say. We can still be intentional about spreading joy wherever we go.

Peace - Family and personal relationships can cause conflict, turmoil, and stress at any time, but the tensions are often heightened during the holidays. Offer the gift of peace this Christmas by taking the first step. One phone call or conversation may not make amends for years of hurt, but it is still the first step that needs to get taken by somebody.

Hope - Hope is one of the greatest assets in the entire world. It is one of the greatest treasures we can ever find for ourselves. And it is one of the greatest gifts we can ever give to somebody else. See the good in others. Believe in their greatest potential. And encourage often.

Reconciliation At its heart, Christmas is a story of reconciliation. A baby was born to offer forgiveness to those who need it most. In the same way, the holiday season creates opportunity to offer forgiveness and reconciliation to those who need it most in our lives. We can take the first step. Even before an apology has ever been uttered, we can lay the foundation for reconciliation that makes it possible.

Goodwill - People may desire to harm us, but wishing pain and suffering upon them in response only compounds the hurt. Harboring resentment, ill will, and bitterness in our hearts allows their actions to control us indefinitely into the future. On the other hand, wishing goodwill upon those who hurt us frees our soul. And it allows us to move on to better things.

These are the themes of Christmas and we should grant them freely. The greatest gifts we can give during Christmas are the very things we most desire to receive.

Season's Greetings from the management and staff of Rayneau Group of Companies Ltd.

NewlyConstructed House
Rayneau Group of Companies (RGC) Ltd has as customarily done, extended its arms in times of need. Partnering with Invest St Lucia, RGC as well as few other companies  have provided a quantity of building materials for the construction of a 3-bedroom house in Soufriere for a single mother with two challenged sons.

Tyler Theophane
The whole project is an initiative of Tyler Theophane, St Lucia’s Contestant for Miss Universe 2021, towards her “Beauty with a Purpose” project. Tyler has been instrumental in seeking support from service providers, construction companies and hardware stores.

According to Tyler, “Jessica Gaga is a 42 years old mother with two sons who are challenged.. Both boys suffer from developmental delays. BON FETE JOUNEN NASYONAL SENT LISI - SHOW-OFF YOUR PATRIOTISM AND NATIONAL PRIDE!

"One thing is for sure, many St Lucians take it that National Day  signifies the beginning of our Christmas season." ~ Anononymous

Jodi-a se jou Nasyonal de Sent Lisi (Today is National Day for Saint Lucia).

In these unprecedented times of so much “halay-kasay”(division), we can come together again if we would only bring out the patriotism and national pride in us for the benefit of ourselves and sweet Helen.  A hopeless hope? Dont be so quick to judge!! WE CAN!

First and foremost, patriotism is a concept which brings people together -  a sense of solidarity and love for our country. It is a sentiment which binds.

National pride and feeling patriotic are things which will make for a stronger nation. Not only will you be able to relate well to others in your shared love for St Lucia but the more individuals who express their patriotic feelings, the stronger our country will be as a whole.

The St Lucian Flag and Traditianal wear Madras

Rayneau encourages all St Lucians to show off their patriotism and national pride today in these two simple  ways:-

  1. Display the St Lucian flag on your vehicle or in your verandah
  2. Wear national colours and madras

By doing just these two simple gestures you would in no small  measure  commemorate patriotism and national pride.

The Management and Staff of Rayneau Group of Companies Ltd extend Happy National Day wishes to the Government and people of St Lucia on the observance/celebration of National Day 2021.

Christmas is round the corner and you feel you have missed the boat getting the painting of the porch and living room done – don’t worry. It can still be done and without having to compromise on the quality and workmanship.

WHAT ABOUT THE NATIONAL DAY WEEKEND!!!!

Give your home an air of freshness with a new colour on the walls. You may not realize how mundane and run down your walls were looking until you put a new colour up. What a better day to get your painting done than National Day, December 13?

MAKE A STATEMENT WITH YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

No matter how big or small or how it is decorated, the Christmas  tree should always reflect the personality of you and your family.

Navita adding a touch of magic

Theming for a lifestyle is a rule Navita Designs has lived by ever since it opened its doors. Why you may ask? It narrows down the choices and creates focus and direction for decorating. Christmas is no exception to this rule. Your Christmas Décor should complement your home decor. Since the Christmas tree is your largest Christmas decoration and the focal point, it is important to choose a theme that flows seamlessly with your home.

Think about it, anytime you throw a party, host your friends, plan an event, decorate your home, etc, you have a theme, so why would your Christmas not have a theme? Many people believe that Christmas decor is exclusively Red and Green, but Navita Designs  believes that your Christmas can be themed any way you want.

But what really is that "Theming" talk about?  Navita Designs defines theme thus:- An idea/message one wishes to convey about the subject(in this case the Christmas tree) - the person's view of Christmas or a revelation about a feeling.

Here are our top 4 reasons to theme your Christmas:

  • 1. A unifying concept or theme gives every home a professional sheen
  • 2. Simplifies your buying and decorating
  • 3. Saves money and time
  • 4. Creates focus and finish

One of our missions at Navita Designs is to stage many different Christmas themes as if they were in a home. We plan out our themes at the beginning of the year based on trends, traditions, modern styles, and more. We wanted to create a space where people could imagine the decor in their home and even customize their Christmas to fit their personality and style.

Your Christmas could be traditional Red, Green and Gold, or it could be a neutral Gold, Silver and Bronze, or it could be a bright and fun multi color, or a retro Black and White, or a soft Blue, Silver and Gold. The options are endless.

Check out a few of the different themes featured in the store this 2021 season below for some inspiration.

Help your family know that Jesus is the reason for the season and He brings peace on earth through the hard times of life. This would make a great gift for family and friends.

6 DIY PROJECTS TO BREATHE NEW LIFES INTO YOUR HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

If you’re feeling unsatisfied and complacent with the look of your home, you’re not alone. After living anywhere for long enough, it’s only natural that it’s going to start feeling kind of stale. After all, “familiarity breeds contempt” might be a cliche but that doesn’t make it any less true.

But don’t worry; we’re here to help. You can make your home feel fresh and new again with only a few simple changes. We’ve decided to take a look at a six, could they work for you?

But first things first: Season's Greetings! Yes, just in case it crept up on you, Christmas 2021 is only 25 days away and its  time to get started on your Christmas shopping plans.

However, in between frantically buying presents and ensuring your fridge is well stocked; it can be easy to neglect your home during the festive period. If you are entertaining family and friends or simply want to make the most of your living space, home improvements can breathe new life into a property and ultimately make everyone happy.

So whatever you're thinking of doing, Rayneau has selected six home improvement ideas to freshen up your surroundings and ensure your house looks its best for the holiday season and beyond.

Get A Deep Clean:

If you want to make your home feel brand new again, you’re going to have a give it a good clean first. A clean house is a clean mind, after all.

Whilst you may be used to doing your weekly house clean, this is going to need a little more elbow grease. Take the time to pull everything out and give it a scrub, leave no surface un-wiped and no cupboard un-searched.

Every home can benefit from a deep clean and it will instantly make your home feel and definitely smell fresher.

Transform your kitchen:

Painting your kitchen cabinets is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to create a new look. With a cream background, it’s easy to give your kitchen a fresh feel by choosing from the latest colours available or wallpaper is a great way to add colour and vibrancy to an old kitchen. You can either cover the entire wall, or create an feature wall for a cheaper but equally stunning look. Make sure you choose wallpaper that is specially designed for the kitchen so it is heat and steam resistant.

Liven up your living room:

Try placing a large mirror on a bare, boring wall. Choose an interesting frame or decorate a piece of mirror with cording or braid. If you have an old frame, consider painting it a bright color. The mirror will reflect the color from around the room and add light to the space or you will find that you can add a real punch of color by painting just one wall of your living room. This will really change the focal point of the living room without getting into a major decorating project. Any change in color will add interest and splash!

Upgrade your bathroom:

Updating your faucet with a new low-flow model is a relatively inexpensive way to cut water consumption while adding a refreshed look to your sink area. And since it’s one of the most commonly used items, a new faucet is a great way to display your personal style.

Showerheads and hand showers add a nice touch to your overall bathroom design while making your showering experience more enjoyable. Replacing a showerhead can be a quick and inexpensive project.

Hand showers can be used as a fixed shower or hand-held for maximum versatility. Drill-less models provide easy installation.

Spruce up your patio porch or yard:

Spruce up your space and green it with some of your favorite potted plants. You can fit several varieties of plant, of different heights, in each planter to maximize the “wow” factor, and make the most of their space at the same time. You can also use hanging planters, which trail down and form a sort of green curtain that’s lovely too. If space is really tight, consider a vine like a perennial rose or an evergreen ivy that can climb right up a wall. These spread quickly, add a dramatic, lush look, and are easy to grow, all at once.

Give the entryway a makeover:

Sidelights, or vertical windows on the side of an entryway door, can give a unique touch to the look of a house. Not only does it add another layer of design to the front door, but it also allows more light inside. Unfortunately, if your home doesn’t already have one, it could be difficult to construct space for them, but if you do have some already in place, it can be relatively easy to upgrade to a new style.
