ON THE HOME STRETCH: RAYNEAU TEAM MAKING IT HAPPEN FOR ST JUDE HOSPITAL

Here at Rayneau, we have always believed that true progress is measured not just by the structures we build, but by the hope we help restore. Today, we are immensely proud to share a significant update on a project that embodies this belief: the St. Jude Hospital Reconstruction Project.

From the very first blueprint to the final piece of equipment being installed, we are now entering the home stretch. This critical phase is where precision, patience, and relentless persistence matter more than ever.

The Final Push: Systems, Outfitting, and Commissioning

The heavy construction is complete. Now, our focus has shifted to the intricate work of testing, outfitting, and preparing this national institution to welcome patients. Our crews are fine-tuning and commissioning a wide range of critical systems to ensure St. Jude is ready to serve the people of Saint Lucia with excellence and reliability.

We are thrilled to report tangible progress across the board:

· Systems Tested & Approved: Key areas including plumbing, laundry, and maintenance facilities have passed comprehensive inspections and received their final approvals.

· Departments Outfitted: The dialysis unit, orthopedic and surgical wards are taking shape with their essential fixtures in place. Kitchen and laundry installations are complete, and office furniture and cooling systems are being installed facility-wide.

· Infrastructure Finalized: Our communications network is fully tested, while landscaping and paving works are nearing completion.

Step by step, building by building, we are methodically commissioning the entire facility in phases.

Behind the Scenes: Overcoming Hurdles with Focus

What the public often doesn’t see is the immense logistical effort happening behind the scenes. While we have faced our share of challenges—from port delays to complex import logistics—our team has persistently progressed.

As one of our team leaders noted, “The biggest challenge is getting the containers on-site. Sometimes they’re close to Saint Lucia, even just offshore, but getting them cleared and transported can be time-consuming. Still, we’re in a good place.”

In fact, a major logistical surge is underway. Over the next couple of days, 27 units of 40-foot containers will be transported from the port to the hospital site. This will mean a visible increase in activity as more specialists—electricians, technicians, installers—arrive to finalize installations.

We have one major hurdle left to clear, and once it’s sorted, it will be smooth sailing to the finish line.

A Shared Vision, A Promise Kept

This project is bigger than construction. It’s about building confidence and restoring a vital pillar of our community’s healthcare. We are working closely with the future hospital staff to ensure they are involved and informed, making this truly a shared vision for Saint Lucia.

To the people of Saint Lucia: thank you for your patience and unwavering support. You will be very happy with the result.

To our dedicated team and partners, especially Pawan Joshi—thank you for your tireless commitment. Your ability to keep the focus on the prize, especially when challenges arise, has been invaluable in driving this project forward.

Despite detractors and distractions, our mission remains unchanged: delivering a fully operational St. Jude Hospital.

Stay connected with us. We will keep you updated in the coming weeks with plenty of pictures and videos as we cross the final threshold.

The reopening of St. Jude is coming—and it will be worth the wait.
