GET YOUR HOME READY FOR THE HOLIDAYS IN FIVE WEEKENDS

Spending time with family and enjoying each other’s company is one of the best things about the holiday season. But, if you’re planning to have guests in your home, the holidays can get stressful. Whether your guests are staying for the day or overnight, you’ll want to prepare your home before they arrive. This year, prepare for your guests with these five one-weekend projects to get your home ready for the holidays.

Weekend 1. Update rooms with a fresh coat of paint. Painting is a fast, easy way to get your home ready for the holidays. Save yourself some time by only painting the rooms that your guests will spend the most time in. For example, you don’t need to paint your master bedroom or even your kids’ bedrooms knowing that your guests won’t be spending time in those rooms.

Weekend 2. Clean your carpet and flooring. You’ll also want to give your floors some attention before your guests arrive. This is an easy weekend project, but you’ll need more than just your vacuum. Consider renting a carpet cleaner or a floor polisher for a deeper clean from Rayneau Rentals & Sales.

Weekend  3. Make simple updates to your bathroom.  You can easily make small improvements to your bathrooms before your guests arrive. Not only will these updates impress your guests, but they will also benefit your home even after the holidays.

Here are some weekend home improvement project ideas for your bathroom:

  • Paint your bathroom
  • Replace dated faucets
  • Replace your shower head
  • Add new lighting
  • Add a new shower curtain
  • Get a new bathroom mirror

Weekend 4. Brighten rooms with new light fixtures. Light up rooms by adding new light fixtures. Your home will look more inviting when you add better lighting to the rooms that need it. If you want to get festive, you can always add Christmas lights!

Weekend 5. Create a welcoming front entrance.

Before inviting anyone to your home for the holidays, make sure you create a welcoming front entrance. Start off by creating a pathway and clearing the sidewalk of snow, leaves, or dirt. This will make it easy for your guests to get to your front entrance without any problems.

You’ll also want to install some outdoor lighting (if you haven’t already) to make it easier for any guests arriving at night to be able to see your home. Illuminating the pathway will show off your beautiful entrance and will even impress your guests.

Finally, finish up your front entrance from Navita Designs by adding some holiday decorations. Add a wreath to your door or even a holiday-themed welcome mat.

Making small improvements to your home shouldn’t take too much time. Enjoy the holidays with your loved ones and prepare for the holidays with these weekends home improvement projects.
