of June 27th 2021 where we made the following statement:
"To
mark the commencement of construction works, [Vide Bouteille Primary School]
CIE in conjunction with the Ministry of Education officials held an
official sod-turning ceremony on June 24th 2021 at the school
grounds......."
In his short remarks,..... Mr Gajadhar said the work will begin in full on the July 12, 2021, the week after school closes."
True
to his word, Mr Gajadhar's company has commenenced work as promised and
presently excavation works are underway full throttle.
The
Excavation works prepares the foundation for the construction of a new,
two-storey reinforced concrete building, of approximate total floor area of
13,571 sq. ft., of school teaching and administration space. Set on a 43,044sq
ft. lot, the facility will house part of the Vide Bouteille Primary
School.
The works will include:
- an external area, open breezeway,
- parking lot area (including drainage) for staff and visitors' vehicles connecting to the existing roadway,
- wheelchair and pedestrian accesses to building,
- septic system
- rainwater harvesting system.
This
project is being implemented by the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Gender
Relations and Sustainable Development (MOE) through its Department of Education
