The present stage of works
Upon completion, the two buildings will provide 52
residential apartments consisting of a three-bedroom, two-bedroom, and
one-bedroom units and 8 commercial units to complete the integrated community
concept.
That gives us a total of 60 units [for Upper River
Bank]. It is expected that the first block will be completed within a 12-month
period and the second block within a 16 month period.
The ministry of Housing and Urban Development sees that upon moving in of beneficiaries after the completion of the project, more space will be available to facilitate other construction projects.
The announcement was made by Minister for Housing
and Urban Development, Reginald Austrie during a presentation of the Roseau
Development Plan months ago.
Construction which started earlier this year is expected
