The Soufriere/Fond St Jacques Road Rehabilitation Project, spearheaded by Construction and Industrial Equipment (CIE) Ltd., is progressing on schedule, bringing much-needed infrastructure improvements to the area. Since its commencement on January 16, the project has steadily advanced, with the Soufriere section now 60% completed and ongoing works shifting focus to the Fond St Jacques community.

months, this project is more than just a road upgrade—it’s a

equipping them with hands-on skills in road rehabilitation and
infrastructure development, paving the way for future employment
opportunities in the industry.
Recent Progress and Safety Measures
A site visit to the
Soufriere section (Massy Junction to Mocha Bridge) revealed remarkable
improvements. Newly paved roads and enhanced drainage systems are now in
place, promising smoother and safer travel for commuters. As the project
advances, appropriate signage will be installed to ensure road users can
navigate the area safely.
