Stop Rats/Mice Havoc With These 4 Solutions

Mice and rats are not liked, period. People detest them. In your home they can carry a lot of risks - spread disease, cause a great deal of damage to the structure of your home as well as eating and contaminating you – and your pet’s – food

This year, there seems to be a profusion of rats and mice taking residence in homes, garages and yards. Every day, dozens of people visit Rayneau seeking a solution.

The best way to get rid of rats in an ongoing infestation is with traps. Not only are they non-toxic, they kill the mouse instantly instead of poisoning it and letting it go into your walls to die, rot and smell. The classic wooden snap traps will do the trick for light to moderate mouse populations, but keep in mind that most people underestimate mice infestations.

It's also a good idea to lay many different types of traps. Use bait traps, electronic and glue traps in conjunction with the wooden traps. This gives you a better chance at killing all of the mice/rats, since some might be keen to certain types of traps and know to avoid them.

TENSION TRAPS:

Victor Original Mouse Trap
Despite quests for a better mouse trap, the Victor trap design remains the
standard. Bait it with peanut butter or bacon, pull the spring back and set the trigger. Avoid an “Oh, $#!#” moment—make sure it doesn’t snap back and break your finger.

Advantages: Reusable or disposable, Effective, “Visible proof of rodent capture”

Disadvantages: Setting the trap, Dealing with a broken finger, “Visible proof of rodent capture.”

GLUE TRAPS

Ramik Mouse Glue Tray
Pre-baited trap for mice. No springs or snaps. It is disposable, nontoxic and Safe to use
around children and pets. This product is nothing more than an adhesive tray with a unique scented formula rodent attractant. That means a rat walks onto the tray, where it becomes stuck. Now all you have to do is deal with a live rat glued to a piece of paper or plastic.

Advantages: Contains 4 glue boards

Disadvantages: Indiscriminately captures creatures, including birds, disposing of a live rat (and how)

BAIT STATION:

Ramik Mouser
This product eliminates rats or mice from yard or outbuildings. No
muss. No fuss. You don’t even see the end result. It's pre-baited. Rodent enters, eats bait,
takes left-overs back to nest to share with buddies, and dies. This bait combines food processing technology and patented procedures to create an unusually palatable and highly attractive rodenticide.

Advantages:
·         Tamper resistant for children & pets
·         Easy bait monitoring via a window
·         Reusable & refillable

Disadvantages:

·         Remote chance rodent will crawl off & die where you don’t want to find it.

Also available D-Con ready-mixed bait bits.

ELECTRONIC REPELLER

Pic RR Sonic Rodent Repeller
This is my favourite product. This is one of the most recent developments in rodent repellents - the sonic rodent repeller. This device works by sending ultrasonic waves
through the airThe claims are that this electromagnetic technology sends mice/rats scurrying from the area, never to be seen again. It can be used in homes and apartments, food service outlets, business, farm buildings, kennels and stables.
The electronic rodent repeller, is plugged into an electric socket in the area where mice are a problem.  The electricity generates ultrasonic waves that are beamed out into the area.  When a mouse or other rodent travels into the path of the ultrasonic waves, they feel the waves and leave the area.

Advantages: No poisons, no traps, no dead rodents to clean up

Disadvantages: Finding the correct outlet location to plug in

4 Customer Service Principles That Make Shopping At Rayneau Memorable.

A widely quoted statistic gets to the heart of the value proposition behind customer service: "The cost of acquiring a new customer is five times that of retaining an existing one." For businesses that succeed by forming a bond with the customer, the disparity is surely even greater. A happy, satisfied customer is likely to return and/or tell others about the good experiences that they had when dealing with a company – word of mouth recommendations from friends and colleagues are very valuable.

The Store of The Future
Too many companies don't understand that while delivering excellent customer service is one of the key ingredients for repeat business, it’s that special personal relationship with one customer and one associate that provides the link between customer satisfaction and customer retention. The service delivered by our customer sales representatives (CSRs) is viewed as the first step in the journey of loyalty.
At Rayneau we make sure that every one of our customer sales representatives is capable of making a good first impression. We know that first opinions are formed within the first 10 seconds. You never have a second opportunity to make a warm and welcoming first impression.

We show appreciation to our customers. Thanking them in a meaningful and thoughtful manner on every customer encounter shows our customers that we care and appreciate their business. At Rayneau we know that if people believe that they're being remembered and are known to the business that will have a positive impact on their disposition toward the business.

But what makes Rayneau the most talked about company when it comes to quality customer service? Treating our customers right, dedication, commitment and an urge to give satisfaction. It is through a continuous and specialized training that our Customer Sales Representatives (CSRs) display this passion for top of the line customer service.

Meet a few of the CSRs
They are able to:-

Listen to understand the problem the potential customer is trying to solve and/or experiencing. It is through this knowledge our CSRs can convincingly demonstrate how a product or service can effectively and economically solve the consumer's problem, and/or if he understands what the product or service is not doing from the customer's perspective can he take steps to solve the problem to the customer's satisfaction. This is of utmost important to us.

Make customers feel welcomeOnce they feel welcomed they will stay longer and come back more often. Addressing our customers by name, keeping our parking space clean, paying particular attention to the appearance of our in-store environment and last but not least that friendly smile, are some of the methods  we incorporated into our strategies to make our customers feel at home in our store.

Display knowledge of the Product. Our CSRs have a keen knowledge of how our products work. Every single team member knows the ins and outs of how each and everyone of our product works, just like a customer who uses it every day would. Our CSRs are aware that without knowing our products from front-to-back, they won’t know how to help customers when they run into problems.

Make our Customer Service Memorable. At RCIP Ltd we differentiate our customer service, we stop trying to be perfect and simply be memorable.  Our Customer Sales Representative are able to give a customer that wow and memorable experience by knowing the customer and treating them right. We believe in the adage that “Customers may forget what you said but they'll never forget how you made them feel.”

Come down to Rayneau to experience that "wow-amazing customer service" that makes us the number one Home Improvement Store on island.

Johnny McKenzie sums it up nicely. “The customer is why we are here. If we take good care of them, they’ll give us good reason to come back.”

12 -17 Storms Expected As Hurricane Season Is Updated - Get Prepared!

The announcement by the local Met Office forecasting a  tropical wave last week had a number of persons making last minute shopping, while others in various communities were hurriedly repairing roofs which had previously showed signs of leaks over an extended period. "Is this how it should be? A conservative asked.

Meteorologist have predicted that this year's hurricane season will be an above average season. Yet many of us continue to procrastinate with the notion that "God is good, nothing will happen." Oh! How complacent many of us can be? It only takes one storm to wreck one's life savings. An article posted yesterday online entitled "Atlantic Hurricane Predictions Turn Nasty, 12-17 Named Storms Expected" revealed that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) had revised its predictions for the 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season, and reported that this year could be the most active since 2012.

The forecasters at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reported that there’s a 70 percent chance of 12 to 17 named storms forming. NOAA’s updated predictions were released Thursday. The forecast for the season, which doesn’t end until Nov. 30, now includes the potential for two to four major hurricanes.

A painful reminder of Hurricane Tomas
The initial outlook called for 10 to 16 named storms, four to eight hurricanes, and one to four major hurricanes. The seasonal averages are 12 named storms, six hurricanes and three major hurricanes.

As the 2016 season nears its peak, forecasters at NOAA urge residents in coastal areas to be prepared. It’s not a question of if, but when, forecasters say.

At Rayneau we believe that readiness is everything when disaster strikes - readiness can mean the difference between life and death, between chaos and composure.

Be prepared for whatever storms this season throws your way ahead of time. Having your hurricane supplies ahead of time will save you the frustration of running to the stores right before a storm hits.  The following items below must form part of your repertoire of tools and supplies. They are available  at Rayneau.

St Lucia Red Cross Building Gets A Fresh Look

During the early part of July, a crew from Construction and Industrial Equipment Ltd (CIE Ltd) has been on the St Lucia Red Cross Society grounds at Vigie scrubbing down the building by pressure washing it to remove cracked paint and blisters to prepare the structure for a fresh coat of paint. Also, the section of the property facing the George FL Charles Airport is being fenced. This is part of an initiative by Mr Gajadhar's Company to assist non-profit organizations such as the St Lucia Red Cross Society in executing its services to the local population.

The Red Cross Center
"The organization is over fifty years old and it is presently managed by an executive comprising of seven persons including Ms Terencia Gaillard as Director General", the President Mr Hubert Austin Pierre said, feeling excited about the whole project. He went on to say that this project could not be more timely when one thinks of the economic hard times and reduction in donations that the organization currently has to cope with.  Mr Gajadhar has agreed to partner with the organization in its work towards helping communities, he says.

“It’s been over ten (10) years since our building was last painted. Not only does paint fade and lose its shine, it also cracks and blisters. Aesthetically, this is far from appealing. Mr Gajadhar agreed to the give the building a complete fresh look and help in part in building a fence to secure the compound.” Mr Pierre concluded.

In the process of seeking for assistance, Mr Pierre reiterates that his organization contacted many local philanthropists. He says when their case was put to Mr Gajadhar he never once hesitated to help. He continues, “When a person like Mr Gajadhar decides to show kindness to organizations like ours, he invites better fortune in the form of respect, goodwill and lifelong good karma. We thank him for being so kind and generous.”

More Pics of a refreshed RCB
Mr. Gajadhar feels honored to be able to give back to such non-profit organizations. He is of the view that his contribution will go a long way in being  a catalyst for change and make a difference in the way people behave towards each other. “The St Lucia Red Cross Society plays a vital role in the protection of life, health and human dignity in our island. Being in partnership with this vital organization I am sure will yield great benefits for both of us” Mr Gajadhar said.

"We will be training twelve (12) workers from CIE Ltd in Health and Safety measures and permit the company the use of our fence for advertisement logos. These are all part and parcel of a memorandum of understanding by the two entities."
“We need more persons like Rayneau who is extremely kind, generous and helps people in need." Mr Pierre finally concludes.

Ms Gaillard also extended her thanks to Mr Gajadhar and expressed her appreciation for the level of workmanship exhibited by the CIE Ltd crew.

Thank you remarks by Director of St Lucia Red Cross Society

The complete facelift works are expected to be completed  over the weekend.

Bexon Infant School Gets a Facelift - A "Giving Back to The Community" Gesture.

Imagine walking into a building every morning and being depressed by your surroundings. This is what teachers as well as students of the Bexon Infant School faced - Rayneau Gajadhar is about to change this. Throughout the early part of July there’s been a flurry of activity at the Bexon R C Infant School building as it undergoes a significant face-lift in its 40 year history. Thanks to Mr Gajadhar's Construction and Industrial Equipment Ltd.

Before and after pics
According to the principal Mrs Martha John, "At a Parents Teachers Association meeting, individual groups where given a task to come up with names of sponsors for a project for the school. One group decided that the school is in need of cleaning and paint job. The members also estimated it would take some time to raise the funds to complete the task. Mr Gajadhar’s name came up and knowing him personally, I decided to contact him. He welcomed the idea.”

Mrs John continues. "The school is old, and the weather elements have taken their toll on the plant. The school is in dire need of a face-lift she says.  She added that pressure-washing, a coat of fresh paint, combined with cleaning the burglar bars, flowered blocks, plus small masonry works and a touch up to the ceilings in the seven classrooms will further enhance the environment at the school."

While many philantropists may openly boast of their contributions to society Rayneau Gajadhar, Team Leader of Construction and Industrial Equipment Ltd (CIE Ltd) is a rare exception. He is of this class of entrepreneurs that speaks little. He rather maintains the philosophic  view of  "Let my work  speak for itself." His company has taken the lead in philantropic works throughout the breadth and length of the island; giving a face-lift to the Bexon R C Infant School being his latest undertaking.

More pics
“I’m here to make a difference.” the Team Leader says. “You hear it a lot, but I really do want to help. This is a company that lives and breathes giving back — it’s in our DNA. Giving back to the community helps you grow as a human being. Giving back to the community is involving oneself in innovation through change. It’s about developing new ways to make your community a better place to live"

Mr Gajadhar also believes that the school environment is important and among other things,he says it:-
  • Motivates both students and teachers
  • Promotes academic excellence
The principal feeling so overwhelmed by this project, had this to say. “We are very grateful for this rejuvenation project by Rayneau’s Construction. Our aging school was in dire need of a face-lift. Thanks to Mr. Rayneau and his team.”

Other institutions that have benefited from Mr Gajadhar’s “giving back to the community” initiative are Central Police Station, Carmen Renee, Camille Henry, Roblot Combined, Corinth Secondary and Fond Assau Primary - just to name a few.

Add That Wow Amazing Look to Your Bathroom in 3 Ways

Leandra, our Customer Sales Representative attached to the Plumbing Department says it’s time to start freshening things up around the home. “Ask yourself this question: how is the bathroom looking these days? Do you feel as if it could use a little something extra, but not quite sure what’s missing? Whether your bathroom remodeling budget is big or small, at Rayneau, there are solutions for all.” She discloses.

Leandra
Well then, meet Leandra - she has been employed with Rayneau Construction and Industrial Products Ltd (RCIP Ltd) for the past three years. It is being said throughout the store that she knows the store like the back of her hand. She takes pride in delivering top class customer service and is committed to her work. When asked about customer-employee relationship at the store, she had this to say. “At Rayneau, we pride ourselves as second to none when it comes to treating our customers right. Our customer service is high, and as a result customer satisfaction is even higher and that’s perfect for business. If customers are unsatisfied with us or feel they aren’t being treated as a customer should be, they will go elsewhere for their purchases and will probably even suggest friends and family members to avoid the business.Without the customer we have no business.” She reiterates with this infectious smile which she forever wears.

Leandra believes that you can add some glam into your bathroom with affordable new features, such as a dramatic mirror, replacing fixtures and hardware and giving consideration to your flooring. Installing new bathroom fixtures will make the space look brighter and more appealing.

Plumbing Items
To give your bathroom that wow amazing look, she suggests you:-
  • Swap out your mirror: Add style and function to the bath with bathroom vanity mirrors. Rayneau has a large selection of classic bathroom mirrors and vanities. Mirrors can make a big difference in any room. Make sure yours is large enough for everyday tasks like shaving and applying makeup, but also check to see if it fits appropriately in the space allotted and matches the bathroom’s scheme.
  • Replace your hardware: Hardware options these days give you near-endless choices of styles and finishes. Rayneau has everything for your bathroom, from your vanity and toilet to your shower and bath. Add safety bars, grab bars, and shower chairs and benches for extra precaution when maneuvering in your bathroom. Look for something that is distinctive while complementing your décor.
  • Consider your flooring: There may not be a more beautiful, versatile or durable material for your bathroom floors and wall than tile. And at Rayneau, you’ll find tile options in an endless array of styles, colors, textures and patterns to enhance the decor of your bath.
Bathroom fixtures and accessories
“Not all people can realize the fact that the bathroom is one of the most vital areas in the whole house. Almost all people go to the bathroom daily on or before we go to sleep to clean up especially if we come from outside the house to go to our jobs or studies.” Leandra explains. She believes that the bathroom is a perfect place for us to have our solitude and detoxify. It is also the only place in the house where we seek comfort after a tiring whole day of work.

Furthermore, the right bathroom can dramatically increase the value of a home.  As such spending time redesigning your bathroom may be the best way to improve your home, and the best way to help you (and others) see your home in a completely different light at the same time.
