Also, debris on a roof can cause some pretty significant problems to your roofing system if not removed promptly. Roof debris can lead to leaks, and roof rot, and can even be a fire hazard. Don’t delay in removing these items.

2  -  FOUNDATION PROBLEMS

Without a proper foundation, a variety of structural issues can plague a home that could end up being very costly to repair. Foundation problems can plague any home, new or old. Telltale signs of foundation problems are cracks in the exterior, sloping floors, bulging walls, floor cracks, and doors and windows that do not open or latch properly.

3  -  MOLD and MILDEW

If you don’t take care of moisture, it will very soon grow into a much larger problem. That problem is mold. If you know you have had a water leak, you need to be vigilant about keeping watch for signs of mold. Damp or wet building materials or furnishings that are not cleaned and dried within 24 to 48 hours are prone to mold growth. Visible mold growth or mold odor can also be a sign that there is a much larger mold colony growing hidden away from view.
