Banse Road Paving, 90% Complete

Section in upper Banse
There can be no doubt in anyone's mind the CIE Ltd is one of the most efficient Construction company on island and by extension the region the works Residents in the Banse community, and by extension the South are all shouting with one voice at the speed with which CIE Ltd was able to get the road to this stage. To them this is important because they suffered the inconvenience of dust for sometime - but this they did not mind.

CIE Ltd and quality work are synonymous. One only has to go back to the Bois D'Orange Bridge to qualify this. At that ceremony the Minister for Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport said, “It is evident that the bridge was built with impeccable workmanship and assets.” This same analogy can be applied to the work done thus far on the Banse/La Haut and Laborie Main Road Project. This I am sure can be attributed to Vinay, the CIE Ltd engineer's no nonsense approach, the right crew, and not to forget the constant supervision and input which Mr Gajadhar, the team leader himself brings to the work force.
Section in the heart of Banse
Presently the section of road, about one km in length, from the Laborie/Banse junction ( near the gas station) towards Banse is now being prepared to be paved by next week. So says Vinay.
Duplessis, a Ministry of Infrastructure technician on the site, believes the works in the Laborie may take a little time due to the reconfiguration of the pipe network.
However Wasco has contracted  Pete's Plumbing Company to do the necessary works. During the coming weeks the plumbing team should start re-configuring the residential and commercial water lines in the Village to prepare for the road works.

Works are continuing in the La Haut section. These are mostly agricultural roads and they will be paved using concrete. The farmers in this community have welcomed this initiative to concrete the road instead of placing asphalt, for the mere reason the road will have a longer lifespan.
To put it simply, work is going on at a rapid and steady pace and is on schedule. The residents, the Ministry and the contractor are all happy.
