Overcoming Years
of Neglect and Disrepair
For far too long,
the residents of the La Resource community had to endure the daily struggle of
navigating a severely deteriorated roadway. The 2.2-kilometer stretch of La Resource
Road, extending from the St Jude highway to the La Resourse bridge, had fallen
into a state of complete disrepair, with potholes, patches, and an overall
rough and hazardous surface that took a toll on both vehicles and the
well-being of the community.
The poor condition
of the road had been a persistent issue for years, with drivers facing the

involvement in the management of the La Resource Road project allowed them to
