We use our phone almost all the time, for watching
movies to listening to music and browsing Internet, likewise when it’s
subjected to heavy usage the internal battery is more likely to be degraded,
so even before the nighttime comes around, the battery is close to zero or
already dead. This is a very frustrating moment, especially if we constantly
use the phone for important things, and in moments like night parties, overtime
or when hanging out outside.
Do you know how to keep your smartphone's battery
healthy?
Probably not. In fact, you may have been hastening
the death of your phone's battery with your charging habits.
If you want to keep your smartphone battery in top
condition and go about your day without worrying about battery life, you need
to change a few things. You can coax more life out of your phone by charging
the battery correctly. Here are a few tips:-
1 - Avoid keeping your phone plugged in when
it's fully charged
According to Cadex, a company that offers devices
that test smartphone batteries, among others offers a lot of information on
its site “Battery University”, (http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/charging_lithium_ion_batteries).
Leaving your phone plugged in when it's fully charged, like you might overnight, is bad for the battery in the long run, the company suggests.

Once your smartphone has reached 100% charge,
it gets "trickle charges" to keep it at 100% while plugged in. It
keeps the battery in a high-stress, high-tension state, which wears down the
chemistry within.
Smartphone batteries are very sensitive to heat.
Certain cases we use are sometimes insulate heat from the phone.
If you notice that your device gets hot when you charge it, take it out of its case first. If you're out in the hot sun, keep your phone covered. It'll protect your battery's health.

And if you’re not using your phone, turn it to
airplane mode or turn it off. Putting it in airplane mode will allow you to
keep time and play music, but that will be it. These two options make it easier
to save your battery and prevent it from heating up.
3 - Charge your phone as often as you can
The best way to charge your phone is a little at a time, whenever you have a chance.
Just plug it in whenever you can, even if it's for a few minutes, and you'll be fine. It's fine to plug and unplug it multiple times a day.
Repeatedly allowing the battery to drain fully may shorten its life and decrease its overall capacity.
4 – Try not to charge your phone to 100%
To get the most out of your smartphone's battery, you'll need to charge it properly. It turns out that the batteries in our smartphones are much happier if you charge them occasionally throughout the day instead of plugging them in for a big charging session when they're empty.

4 – Try not to charge your phone to 100%
According to Battery University, "Li-ion does
not need to be fully charged, nor is it desirable to do so. In fact, it is
better not to fully charge, because a high voltage stresses the battery"
and wears it away in the long run.
Your battery will also perform better if you don't
let it charge to 100 percent, so take it off the charger at about 80 to 90
percent capacity.
