Cricket fever is
reaching its peak on the island, with the T20 ICC Men’s World Cup just around
the corner. As anticipation mounts, the government is taking proactive steps to
ensure that every aspect, including the road conditions leading to the major
cricket facility on the island, is up to par. Enter Construction and Industrial
Equipment (CIE) Ltd, the trusted name tasked with the vital project of Road
Rehabilitation Works from Caye Manger to Beausejour in Gros Islet.
With the Department
of Infrastructure, Ports, and Transport overseeing the endeavor, these repairs
are not merely routine maintenance but essential preparations for the highly
anticipated cricket extravaganza. Spanning a 1.5-month timeline, the project
aims to guarantee smooth transportation routes leading to the event venue,
leaving no stone unturned in ensuring seamless access for cricket enthusiasts.
Work in Progress at Caye Manger
The scope of work
is extensive and impressive. From road widening along Caye Manger to the
construction of kerb walls, retaining walls, and drains, every detail is
meticulously planned. Site clearance, milling, and paving works from the Caye
Manger gap to the Gros Islet Fire Station further underscore the commitment to
excellence.
As cricket
aficionados eagerly await the tournament, scheduled to unfold in Saint Lucia
from June 15 to June 24, 2024, at the iconic Darren Sammy Cricket Ground,
accolades are already pouring in for the quality of workmanship exhibited by
Mr. Gajadhar’s construction company. In fact, a prominent government minister
couldn’t help but express his satisfaction, stating, “I am happy and pleased
with Rayneau’s progress so far… Well, I know this is a man once he is on a
project you can sleep well… he’s on target, he’s on time, and I know we will
get the finished product in the time that was allocated.”
Indeed,

the realm of quality work and timely project delivery. Their commitment to
