3 Important Car Maintenance Tips from Rayneau

At Rayneau Construction and Industrial Products Ltd, Corinth, Vide Bouteille and Monchy, we care about your safety. The upcoming Easter  Season  means shopping, visiting friends, and family outings – so it’s important that you take care of your vehicle to get you and your family from place to place safely.

Rayneau carries a large selection of the automotive products you need to keep your car looking and running well. From the name brand products – like Formula Shell motor oil and ArmorAll car cleaning products – to basics like wiper fluid, you can find what you need in our Auto Department.

Use the following tips to keep your vehicle in top shape, and stop into Rayneau today to grab what you need for your next maintenance project.
Car Wax
1 - Wash and get a vehicle wax for your car at regular intervals. Most sources recommend doing this at least once a week. Not only does this make your car look shiny and new, but regular waxing and washing preserves paint and prevents rust from setting in. This is especially important in the winter, when road salt can make its way into the underbelly of your vehicle. Check out our huge selection of car cleaning products and vehicle wax on your next stop into Rayneau!

Motor Oil
2 - Most people know they need to change their motor oil every 3 – 5,000 miles or so, depending on the car and oil type. But it’s important to remember to also check your car’s other fluids. Many models require replacing transmission fluid every 36,000 miles, or if the pink fluid starts turning brown. However, other models don’t ever require that transmission fluid be replaced. Check your owner’s manual to make sure you know how often yours should be changed to maintain your vehicle. Sand Edward, our customer service representative in the automotive department will be happy to help you understand what type of transmission fluid and motor oil is best to keep your car running smoothly.
Magic Wipers
3 - Although we are in the dry season we are still met with very unpredictable weather, such as heavy downpours of rain, which may even last for long periods. To make sure you’re prepared for whatever comes your way, make sure to change your windshield wiper blades every six months or so. In particularly wet climates, they may need to be changed more often – so use your eyes and common sense to determine what’s needed for your vehicle.

Save Money with Rayneau Rentals and Sales!

When it comes to do-it-yourself home renovations and maintenance, you may think of popular TV shows that show you how to take care of problems or upgrade rooms in your home on your own. However, it is not always economical, especially if you try to budget in all of the tools that you will need for the project. At Rayneau Rentals and Sales, Vide Boutielle, we offer tool rentals for all types of equipment that will help you modernize and upgrade your home.

In addition to tool rentals, we have experienced and knowledgeable staff members who can help you find the right tool for the job. Before any tools leave our store, we test and inspect them thoroughly to make sure they work correctly. This helps you know that every tool is in good condition and ready to start working.

Even if you have never attempted a DIY project on your own, feel free to visit our store for tips and tricks about making the job easier. There are thousands of different tools available for rental that can make it easy to replace, remove, or install new hardware, flooring, appliances, and more.

You may only use some tools once or twice during your lifetime, especially if you don’t do a lot of construction projects. Therefore, tool rentals are a much more economical option than purchasing expensive tools that you may not use again in the future. You can simply rent our high-quality products, use them as much as you need, and then return them when you are finished. It also helps cut back on storage needs, since you won’t need an extra tool-shed to keep equipment when not in use.

Check us out on FaceBook, call us at 450-RENT(7368) or drop by at our Vide Boutielle store for more details.

In Loving Memory of Our Fallen Colleagues - In Our Hearts You're Always There!

March 21, 2019 marked 2 years since our colleagues fell. Our facebook page  remembered them in this following passage:

“A Life that touches others, goes on Forever! As we remember our loss on March 21st 2017, we pray for the families of our fallen colleagues that the Lord continue to comfort them and protect them in this life. The Rayneau Group of Companies is thankful for your support and prayers as we remember.”
While remembering our fallen colleagues, Darren,Jude, Simon and Kim, we should remember them for the things they did. The things they did are the most important things of all. They are more important than what they said or what they looked like. The things they did outlast their mortality.

The things they did are like monuments that people build to honour heroes after they've died. They're like the pyramids that the Egyptians built to honour the Pharaohs. Only instead of being made out of stone, they're made out of the memories people have of them. That's why their deeds are like their monuments. Built with memories instead of with stone.

Final thoughts. You're sadly missed along life's way, quietly remembered every day....no longer in our life to share, but in our hearts, you [Darren, Simon,Kim and Jude] are always there.

In closing, to those injured, especially Mitchron Popo, all of us at RG Group of Companies Ltd have you in our prayers. Staying positive is the first step to complete recovery.

It’s Time to Install LED Bulbs?

It seems like it was only yesterday when Compact Fluorescent (CFL) bulbs hit the market, promising big energy savings and longer bulb life.  Energy legislation and falling CFL prices made them the smart choice for lighting your home and business, in spite of some concerns about bulb disposal and warm-up times.  LED bulbs have been around for many years, but in the past few months the pricing has dropped significantly and the selection of bulb styles have greatly increased
LED Bulbs
LED bulbs offer even more efficiency than CFL bulbs, but at a similar price and with none of the disposal concerns or delayed bulb startup.  LED's are available in even more styles than CFL bulbs, including clear candelabra styles often used in chandeliers or wall sconce fixtures.

At Rayneau we will continue to offer some CFL bulbs, and of course we can order any bulb you may need to match existing bulbs you may have.  However, we encourage you to start moving to LED bulbs to gain the benefits more quickly.  The pricing is really close to CFL bulbs, and in some cases it's lower.

Stop in at our stores in Corinth, Monchy and Vide Bouteille and see our full selection of LED bulbs, you'll be amazed at how much variety is now available.

Rent a Pressure Washer For a Faster, Simpler DIY Project at Home

Pressure washers are a great tool for all sorts of jobs around your home or business. Here at Rayneau Rentals & Sales, we have a number of pressure washers available for rent. Renting power washers only when you need them saves you the hassle of owning and maintaining your own pressure washer. You can get one whenever you need it, and then return it, without having to worry about storing it.

It’s time to clean house, inside and out. Here’s the skinny on several uses around your home for a pressure washer. Make sure you’re using the right pressure (various nozzles will determine the pressure and area of spray).

Exterior – Whether you have wood siding, brick, or a painted exterior, pressure washers can be used to easily clean most exterior walls. The biggest consideration here is to make sure that you’re using the right pressure and spray pattern for the job. Using a pressure that’s too high can cause damage.

Driveway – For an asphalt or concrete driveway, pressure washers can get down to business quickly and may be the best way to clean your driveway. Once again, caution is needed to not use too high of a pressure, or you can damage the pavement, especially in the case of asphalt that is already showing some damage.

Patios & Decks – We’ll say it again – watch your pressure. With a wooden deck, you definitely want to avoid an overly high pressure. It can damage the wood, paint and finish of your deck if you’re not careful.

Overall – The best technique for any of these projects is to keep the stream of water moving in a slow and controlled fashion.

At Rayneau Rentals & Sales, we’re proud to be your favourite rental service. We only rent tools and equipment, and our highly qualified staff and technicians can assist you in selecting your equipment needs. We thoroughly inspect, test, and service every item prior to each rental. Our job is to be your problem solvers – to find the tool or machine to make your project faster and easier.

Contact us today at 450-7368 to schedule your pressure washer rental!

To RENT or To BUY? Which One is Better For You?

There are many opportunities to rent the tools/equipment you need rather than purchase. Often times, it can be more convenient and cost effective – what every project manager needs. Rather than bore you with a long article on the pros and cons of purchasing or renting, we’ll keep this short and sweet and in point format so you can get back to doing what you do best.
Advantages of Renting
Companies and people rent equipment for a number of reasons:
A - Saves money in many cases
B - Caters to short-term equipment need
C - Provides specialty performance
D - Satisfies temporary production increases
E - Fills in when regular machines need maintenance or fail
E - Helps meet deadline crunches
F - Expands machine inventory
G - Increases overall capability when and where needed
H - Eliminates responsibility of testing, maintenance, service
I -  Makes the project schedule easier to manage with on-demand resources.

Advantages of Purchasing
1 - You own it.
2 - That machine is always available when you need it, no need to schedule jobs based on when you can rent a specific piece of equipment.
3 - Financially, it’s a better option if it’s a piece of equipment you use frequently with little down time and in a reasonable time period (to avoid becoming obsolete).

As you can see, there are a lot of considerations when deciding whether to rent or buy. Renting allows you to allocate dollars to other parts of the project for a higher return on investment whereas owning your own equipment can tie up more funds for an extended period of time. When it comes to purchasing, looking ahead to the future to ensure you are getting the most use out of that piece of equipment will be critical.

The team at Rayneau Rentals and Sales is always ready to answer your questions and help you find the right piece of tools/equipment to rent or purchase. Call us at 450-RENT for moe details.

The Lenten Season -The Perfect Time for Some Easy Indoor Home Improvement Projects

With our 40th Independence Anniversary fanfare over and Ash Wednesday on March 6, 2019 you will probably be spending a lot of time inside your house – the whole tradition surrounding the Lenten season. Here are some great indoor home improvement project ideas that will keep you busy until Easter arrival. These simple projects will bring about positive changes and upgrades in your home that can increase the property value and save in your energy costs.

Paint – Paint is the easiest way to transform a room or just freshen it up. A quality paint job with the right color will help the rooms in your home look new, clean, and up to date. Whether you know exactly what color and finish you want or don’t know where to start, we can certainly help. Our Paint team offers expert guidance and advice. Start by visiting Our Paint and Sundries Department

Change Out Light Bulbs – It’s a great time to replace light bulbs that have burned out. You should consider switching to LED bulbs. Typically you can save over 80% in energy costs by using LED bulbs- they consume a lot less energy and last for up to 20 years before you would have to replace them so they are virtually maintenance free.

De-clutter & Organize – Make sure all the items in your home have their place in a neatly stored and labeled container. This helps make your life easier and saves you so much time when you need to access these items. There are common areas in the home which tend to serve as storage and become overly stuffed and disorganized such as garages, and closets. These are typically the catchall places for an assortment of household goods. However with some shelving, storage totes, and an organization plan, these areas of your home will be in order and function much better for you.

Install A Kitchen Backsplash - A kitchen backsplash can bring color and texture into your design and accent your countertops and cabinets. Or if your kitchen is already full of color, a neutral kitchen backsplash can bring a sleek and elegant look to the room.

Update Your Bathroom - Making small changes in our bathroom can have a huge impact.
Update your faucet and shower fixtures to something a bit more modern. Paint your bathroom with soothing softer colors like (blue, muted pink, grey, white) to create a relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. Change your bathroom accessories (rug, towels, trashcan, etc) to a new color also.

If you have a question about any of these projects, you can visit our Corinth, Monchy or Vide Bouteille store, call us at 4507247, email us here, or visit us on Facebook or our Website.
