FIVE REASONS TO OWN THE NEW HYUNDAI H940C WHEEL LOADER

RAYNEAU RENTALS & SALES, which spans 10 islands states, is part of the largest Hyundai dealership in the OECS. Hyundai wheel loaders offer the most bang for your buck on the market today.

Hyundai’s all-new H940C (2021 -2022) has now been originally introduced in St Lucia.  Production units have now arrived and will be available at our stores throughout OECS  locations.

Hyundai wheeled backhoe loaders, model H940C are characterized by their excellent performance, versatility, and great precision and control for the operator.

It features a Perkins engine, EPA-certified for Tier II and EU stage II, for better power, reliability, and efficiency.

This innovative new model improves upon the popular HL940 model, which did well with contractors over the past five years.  The new H940C is an all-new model with many innovative improvements, but there are a few that stand out and make it a “great buy” for general contractors.

Here are five reasons to consider adding the new Hyundai HL940C to your fleet.

1) Performance leads to profitability.

Hyundai HL940 series loaders have been tested against Volvo, Caterpillar, and John Deere loaders and have consistently matched or exceeded the performance of these well-known brands.  The performance demonstrated by Hyundai wheel loaders is entirely by design.  Hyundai’s H940 series loaders are powered by Cummins or Scania turbo diesel engines. Both engines are well-known, reliable, and fuel-efficient. The engine power is transferred through an automatic ZF transmission along with ZF front and rear axles. Other performance-enhancing features include standard onboard ride control, programmable return-to-dig detents, and an accurate weighing system that measures the weight of the load  which reduces overfilling or underfilling trucks.

2) Operator Comfort Improves Productivity!

Why pay extra when you can have it all? With Hyundai loaders, you get a  large and spacious cab with all the comfort features included  .unlike many competitors. Hyundai loaders are standard-equipped with comfort-enhancing features like a heated air-suspension seat, a tilting/telescoping steering column, a powerful auto-climate control system, Bluetooth radio with mp3 and hands-free calling, joystick control with an integrated forward-neutral-reverse switch, kick-down button and third spool attachment switch. Additional cab features include cup holders, a 7-inch color touchscreen monitor, and a front window sunshade.

3) If it’s not running, it’s not earning.

At RAYNEAU RENTALS & SALES, we get this. Our service department is factory-trained and experienced at working on Hyundai equipment. There is no better place to go for service, maintenance, and repair. Fortunately, Hyundai loaders are also very reliable and easy to service. They feature convenient remote drains for fluid service, smart onboard diagnostic features that identify fault codes and provide descriptions for faster troubleshooting, and a swing-out cooler assembly with a reversible engine fan, for easy maintenance and cleaning. At RAYNEAU RENTALS & SALES, we keep fast-moving parts in stock at each of our locations. If we don’t have the part we can usually have it shipped within 24-48 hours.

4) Connected equipment is easier to manage and maintain.

All Hyundai wheel loaders come with a full telematics platform and 5 years of cellular service, called Hyundai HiMate. This remote machine management system is detailed and accurate. It provides the owner, operator, or fleet manager with timely machine operation data, geolocation data and geofencing capabilities, reminders for service intervals, real-time diagnostic data, and much more. Hyundai’s HiMATE keeps you more connected to your equipment, so you can avoid costly repairs and better manage your equipment's productivity.

5) Hyundai is known for its hassle-free and comprehensive warranty.

Bottom-line, this is the most comprehensive warranty in the industry. Hyundai offers 3 years or 3,000 hours of full machine warranty, that covers everything on the machine except worn parts. They enhance that full machine warranty with a 5-year or 10,000 hours structural warranty, that covers major welded steel components like the frame, chassis, loader arm, etc.

10 DIY TOOLS TO GIFT DAD FOR THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

We hear it again and again…… "Dads are hard to shop for." Which is funny – as most of us dads would disagree. The fact is dads are actually very easy to please – we just ask for the best.

The seven months between Father's Day and the Christmas holidays are enough time to put a serious beating on dad's tools. It's a good thing his loved ones are caring enough to take this time to replace the most worn and destitute tools - or to buy him something he's always wanted.

Well – you’re in luck. Finding gifts for dads at Rayneau is now a breeze with the shortlisted list below. We’ve sorted through all of the gifts in our hand tools stock and present to you 10 Christmas gifts for dads that they are sure to smile about for months to come.

  1. Mintcraft 4-in-1 Double Box Ratcheting Wrench Set, Metric Black, 2-Piece: While not “all-in-one ratchet wrenches offer eight fastener sizes that cover most DIYers and homeowners needs, with the robust reversible ratcheting mechanisms, these wrenches will make light work of dad’s projects.

This tool provides a smooth profile and unbroken surface allowing more torque to be applied comfortably. It is able to tackle the following sizes: 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 19 m

Stanley 84-024 10-inc:h Bi-Material Groove Joint Pliers Wrench: This tool is the Popeye of pliers and quick-adjust wrenches. It may be small but is capable of exerting a surprisingly high level of nut-gripping leverage. Use its marring parallel jaws on finished components, or show stubborn fasteners who’s boss.

This tool replaces the need for sets of metric and imperial spanners and is also excellent for gripping, holding, pressing, and bending work pieces. Your dad would love to use this for his next plumbing project.

Ergonomic Screwdrivers are easy on the hands even when torquing down on screws. They have cushioned handles that conform to users’ unique grips, making them comfortable to hold and use.

These tools can be very comforting to dads who have arthritis in their hands

Mintcraft Multi-Tool: This multi-tool from Mintcraft is packed with useful gadgets that Dad can use for fixing things around the house, and it’s just nice to have in case something breaks. Rather than carry around a big toolbox, or have to store a bunch of tools, he can have many of the things he needs all in one place with this.

Makita Cordless Drill: This drill is sure to help dad with all sorts of tasks around the home. It features plenty of power to get most of the jobs done. Ask any dad and they’ll tell you that your drill is the cornerstone of what you can get done when it comes to DIY projects

Portable Charcoal Grill Set: This grill set is made out of a durable metal so it’s going to hold up to wear and tear from regular use, and provide Dad with everything he needs to be master of the grill. If Dad loves to grill all season long he will definitely get tons of use from this.

Stanley Level: A good level is a great gift.  Just make sure you give him a picture of yourself.  So when he opens the picture and the level, you can tell him you just want him to make sure your picture is level on the wall.

Stanley work platform step stool: Simple. Sturdy. Functional. This tool comes with a Slip resistant step treads for security, a one-hand fold, lock release, and a deluxe molded utility tray for tool and paint tray and pails.

Gets the job done. And you can make a “getting older” crack with it if you and your dad have that kind of relationship.

Proline Extension Chords: Instead of the usual, cumbersome extension cords he’s used to, get him this retracting extension cord reel. An impressive 30-foot cord easily pulls out and locks at whatever length his project requires, and it automatically retracts when he’s done. He’ll also love how easily it stores, unlike his typical extension cords.

Vampliers: Stripped and rusty screws are a major frustration for the handyman and DIY dad. However, they’re a common enough occurrence, so give Dad the tool he needs in order to handle stubborn screws like a pro.

We tried to keep the list to a minimum, but the truth is we could go on and on. There are so many great hand/power tools at Rayneau that you could give dad for Christmas, it was hard to stop.  I know you could think of about 10 items we missed, but let us know

So hurry on down to Rayneau at the Corinth (450-7247) Monchy (450-7248) Vide Bouteille (450-7246) or Babonneau (450-5759) branch, and choose the ideal gift for Dad from our wide selection.

ST JUDE' PHASE1 WORKS MOVING ALONG AS PLANNED - COMPLETION EXPECTERD BY YEAR END

Rayneau Constructions and Industrial Equipment(CIE) Limited appears to be beating the clock as the team moves at breakneck speed and making much progress on PHASE 1 at St Jude's Hospital. You will recall in the last post we mentioned that Pawan Joshi, an engineer at the company, gave a  synopsis of the work to be done in phase one of the reconstruction of the  Hospital.

Below is part of the engineer's remarks at the opening ceremony for the official commencement of work on the hospital.
"Phase one includes the cleaning of the entire site, including all buildings. It also included fumigation and anti-termite treatment that needs to be carried out because of the time that has elapsed since the buildings were not used. Work is presently ongoing in the East Wing and the surgical building as well as the power Laundry and maintenance building.  The floors are being cleaned, and to carry out all the above works seven (7) sub-contractors are on the job together with 42 crews. This Phase one operation is expected to continue for the next four (4) months."

A recent visit to the work site twenty-five days after work began, reveal that phase 1 work has been moving at a steady pace and is nearing completion.

East Wing

The site manager Gireesh Kumar gave a tour to familiarize the writer with the works completed and in progress. The writer was impressed by the amount of work done comparing it to what he saw when the Prime Minister initially visited the site on November 1, 2022 - the rooms are scrubbed spotless clean, and new life seems to emanate from every room in each wing visited.

Cleaning works that have been tackled  so far and continuing:

  1. Laundry Building - completed
  2. East Wing Top floor - completed
  3. Surgical ground floor - completed, with 2nd floor 40% complete
  4. West Wing  and volunteer facility cleaning in progress
  5. Gift shop and chapel complete
  6. Laundry Building

Kumar reiterated that "fumigation and pest control are continuing " The site manager believes that at the rate Phase 1 is going he expects the cleaning to be completed by the end of the year with the hope to begin Phase 2.

    West Wing

The mini forest which surrounded the hospital has been completely cleared and one can now have a clear view of the outside surroundings. Keep following us for more updates as they come.

MOLINIERE ROAD SLIPPAGE PROJECT UPDATE

Rayneau Construction and Industrial Equipment (CIE) Ltd is making substantial progress on the Moliniere Road Slippage Project. Recently piling was completed and now the next level of pile cap foundation and structural backfilling will soon commence.

Minister for Infrastructure Development, Dennis Conwell in a recent statement says, so far his "Ministry is satisfied with the ongoing works," and adds "Despite the issues faced with the weather the project will be completed on time. And the excavation done so far 100% of the piling has taken place…...." In spite of the heavy rains in Grenada recently which have slowed down the project, the Minister believes that the project is still on track and should be able to finish within the 10 months we have initially indicated.

CIE Ltd engineer on site, Avanish Dabhari, gave an update on the works being done.  "…currently, we put around 32 locations to pile….one pile length is around 11.52m and a total of 62 piles have been driven, and there are around two test piles additional. So a total of 33 locations we are done piling, and next time after the piling we reach up to the required level, and after, we are going ahead with doing the blinding and  pile cap foundation.”

Avanish continued, “Within the next couple of weeks  you will see the pile cap foundation will get done and the next level is the structural backfilling.”

The Moliniere road which was closed in 2019 is no longer safe for motorists due to the land slippage. As a result, residents of the area are being cautioned not to travel the Moliniere main road while it is under construction as the site is not suitable for onlookers or passersby.
